Frequently asked questions
The code is tiny and will not read. What helps?
Use a macro photo taken square to the surface with even lighting. Angled shots and reflections on metal are the usual causes of failure.
Can it read codes etched directly into metal?
Often yes, if the lighting avoids glare. Direct-part marks on shiny surfaces are the hardest case; diffuse light helps considerably.
